Cinque Terre, Italy

The 5 little towns of Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza and Monterosso. Each one hugging the edge of a cliff and overlooking the spectacularly blue and glistening Mediterranean. There is only 1 real beach, but there are hundreds of boats, and even more tourists. I did a bit of hiking on the trails, but most of our walking was around the town, checking out the delicious food and comparing gelato at each town.  You could spend days just wandering amongst the pastel hued pink, orange and yellow buildings, eating on every corner and soaking up the sun. There is a reason this place is so popular.
